Tech PR in San Francisco - Account Executive or Senior AE

Resound is looking for a Senior Account Executive (4-6 years exp.) or Account Executive (1-3 years) to support the expansion of our recently opened San Francisco office (on 2nd Street b/w Mission and Howard, near Montgomery BART), with an emphasis on B2B tech PR.

The main client roster focus will be on well-funded, emerging companies across data management and analytics, mobile apps (sports/consumer), adtech, and b2b SaaS applications, with additional opportunity to support accounts in consumer electronics (cameras, audio, accessories), EdTech, HRTech, and more.

We’re industry generalists, so we have practices in consumer goods, business services, ed, etc. – but we have a heavy concentration of consumer and business tech clients in San Francisco and Silicon Valley. Requiring more than just funding and product announcements, these clients want brand and thought leadership coverage, as well as mainstream business and vertical trade penetration.

We're looking for a sharp, eager, media -savvy PR pros ready to jump right into strategic planning, account management, client relations, and all levels of media pitching. You will be collaborating with our East Coast teams, and reporting directly to an agency Co-Founder and Principal in San Francisco.

With a team of 18 PR pros across offices in Princeton, NYC, and San Francisco, Resound Marketing is looking for self-starters with a positive attitude who thrive in the busy PR agency environment, and want to have a direct impact on our clients' success and agency's growth. In this role, you'll have an opportunity to take on a strategic role while also regularly pitching the media, and will develop your skills by working directly with a senior team.


  • Develop a strong relationship with client contact(s)
  • Develop and maintain successful relationships with key media members
  • Identify, pitch and follow-up with editorial opportunities and new media opportunities
  • Write and place bylined articles
  • Attend in-person press meetings with client
  • Write press kit documents as well as news releases and pitches
  • Oversee monthly, quarterly, and yearly PR reports
  • Keep abreast of each client’s industry; competition and coverage
  • Work closely with both senior and junior members of the team
